Canadian volunteer and civil engineer Guillaume D'Aoust spent one year working with the teaching staff at the Mongolia Forestry Institute.During his tenure, Guillame worked with the Forestry Institute to further develop the teaching material available to Mongolians regarding wood frame construction. <br/> The result is in the form of two(2) publications. The first publication is the translation in Mongolian language of a Technical manual published by the Canada Wood Council and Titled: '''<u>Introduction to Wood Design.</u>''' The document is very comprehensive and presents the most recent techniques and materials used in Canada for the construction of houses and small buildings using wood frame construction. <br/> The second publication was developed and written by Guillaume and titled: '''<u>The Residential Construction Handbook.</u>''' This book is a short and useful manual that presents in a concise form the techniques and materials used in the construction of wood frame houses. This manual is also available in the Mongolian language.
