Renewable energy For all projects dealing or including aspects in regard to energy generation/supply based on renewable resources (wind, solar, water, geothermal, biogas, biomass). Financing For all projects containing activities to shape the financing landscape in the construction sector. This covers public and private financing mechanism.	Community development For all projects that are involving the community and/or encouraging the community to demand improvements and mitigate the negative impacts of urbanisation. In addition projects shall activly support the communication amongst the community as well as encouraging participation.
Efficient use of resources For all projects that are targeting the efficient use of energy. This includes electricity, heat and other energies as well as other resources such as water.	Business development For all projects that are introducing new business models or contributing to the norms, standards and regulation to support the implementation of business models. This includes ESCO models or PPP.	MRV For all projects that supporting Mongolia to collect data on emissions, mitigation actions and support, to compile this information in reports and inventories, and to subject these to some form of international review or analysis.	Capacity development For all projects that provide capacity building measures to individual and/or strenghten an organisation.

Additional Comments

Canadian volunteer and civil engineer Guillaume D'Aoust spent one year working with the teaching staff at the Mongolia Forestry Institute.During his tenure, Guillame worked with the Forestry Institute to further develop the teaching material available to Mongolians regarding wood frame construction. The result is in the form of two(2) publications. The first publication is the translation in Mongolian language of a Technical manual published by the Canada Wood Council and Titled: '''Introduction to Wood Design.''' The document is very comprehensive and presents the most recent techniques and materials used in Canada for the construction of houses and small buildings using wood frame construction. The second publication was developed and written by Guillaume and titled: '''The Residential Construction Handbook.''' This book is a short and useful manual that presents in a concise form the techniques and materials used in the construction of wood frame houses. This manual is also available in the Mongolian language.
