EnDev and HERA have developed several sustainability criteria and check lists.

- EnDev Sustainability Checklist & Criteria (2005/06) for EnDev projects (both stoves and electrification)

- HERA Sustainability Criteria for Stove Projects (2008), based on first EnDev criteria, practical experiences from World Bank, GTZ and other stove projects
