The Ministry of Trade and Industry seems to have installed a “Petroleum Special Unit”, but their website is “under construction” and currently (Nov. 2010) offers no information about fuel pricing at all.
On a (private) news-website (see Annex), the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Trade and Industry is interviewed because of dropping fuel prices in September 2010. According to this interview, prices are regulated and differ among the regions due to transport costs.
Another newspaper article states, that a specific fuel levy is imposed, while the standard VAT is not imposed on fuels any longer (date unknown).
