Around 50 participants from different international organisations, research institute and consulting institutes came together to discuss the importance of bringing sustainable wood energy in the international focus.
The participants focused on the challenges of incorporating sustainable wood energy into the value chain. Wood energy in the European context is seen as an opportunity while in the developing countries context is seen as a rural and dirty fuel. This negative perception attached with the wood energy is an impeding factors while competing for donor fundings.
