To complement the ongoing debate on subsidy schemes HERA wants to draw your attention to a recently completed study by Mirco Gaul (SiNERGi). Subsidy schemes for the dissemination of improved stoves (stove_subsidies_final) gives a brief overview of the current state of approaches and strategies for the promotion of improved stoves as implemented by EnDev projects in Bolivia, Burkina Faso, Ethiopia and Mali. The study helps to understand and compare various approaches and is an incentive for a stronger exchange on strategies and lessons learnt.
