Abstract
|
Due to the ongoing urbanization, changing consumer behaviour and the progress in industrialization and improved collection services, the quantities of municipal solid waste are growing continuously in China. How to set up a most efficient waste treatment infrastructure and how to improve treatment capacities up to the demand is still not clear, therefore landfilling still remains as a priority1. Separating waste at the source is a choice, which basically complies with the objectives of China's environmental management targets of solid waste management and circular economy
