As part of the ITEC (Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation)/SCAAP (Special Commonwealth African Assistance Programme) of the Government of India, the Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) is offering a 3 weeks Course titled Designing and Implementing Solar Energy based Livelihood Projects for Rural Communities in New Delhi from 6 September to 24 September 2010. The Course aims to build the capacity of organizations and individuals from developing countries, enabling them to apply the enhanced knowledge and skills in large-scale generation of sustainable livelihoods utilizing solar PV technology.
The Course is designed to meet the needs of early/mid-career government and non governmental officials. In addition to the class room sessions and group exercises at the TERI premises, study tours will cement learning with concrete experiences from the field. The government of India will bear the international airfare, course fees, accommodation and living allowance for the candidates (more information).
