As a response to a request that came up during the 3rd GTZ Regional Energy Meeting (East Africa) in Addis Ababa in October 2008, the Energising Development Team would like to invite the East African EnDev MHP projects to participate in the 1st EnDev East Africa Micro Hydro Power Workshop scheduled to take place from the 5th to the 7th of May in Nairobi, Kenya.
This meeting shall be the starting event for experience exchange and closer cooperation in between EnDev MHP projects in East Africa, GTZ headquarter and external MHP experts. The objectives are to get to know the various MHP colleagues and projects, to strengthen a basic understanding of MHP, to analyse the status quo and to discuss options for future cooperation within GTZ’s MHP projects.
The workshop should be the first of a series of EnDev MHP workshops in East Africa in the coming years. Further meetings are planned during the MATA in Eschborn and in the 2nd half of 2009 in Asia.
