The State Trading Organization (STO, http://www.stomaldives.com/) calculates and sets fuel prices for the Maldives. Prices are homogenous across the country. Prices are changed approximately once a month or more often in times of volatile import prices.
STO publishes any price change through press statements, that are downloadable on their website. Information on the fuel price calculation formula and on taxation/subsidies are missing.
The prices hikes in early 2011 (among other factors?) are linked to the exchange rate to the US$. The value of the Rufiyaa fell ~20% in 5 months.
